there are only 2 ways currently
that you can "trick" MyInfo to do it:

1 . you can rename the *.docx extension
to something like *.dooocx
so that it won't auto-convert it to rtf
and then it will import it
as an attachment

but the problem of course with this is
that you eventually need to change ...

the ability to custom GROUP the filtered search results (in the tree filter) is really something GREAT
since almost all the other outliners (including UR) are only able to produce a flat search results list,
that does not have any field-based search results grouping at all.

but with MyInfo you ...

Ultra Recall has the ability
to import a rich text file
by a custom chosen delimiter

or

by a paragraph split

or

at a chosen page numbers split

and thus very nicely and efficiently
auto-split a long text file
into many smaller subjects.

this has the benefit of:

1 . it saves you a lot of ...

i might add to this also

that it would be also extremely useful
if the Global Replace could also replace
ACROSS all open mio files

thus it truly would be a time-saver

instead of being "only" able
to replace WITHIN
a single mio file.

after having created many mini mio databases
(to benefit of having each one auto-hoisted always when i go to them)
i find myself wanting to pwd protect a certain few
but leave some others general ones open.

and since i have plenty of memory for MI
i like to open them all up at once at the start
to ...

it would be great,
if MyInfo could also Global Replace in TITLES as-well,
and not "just" in the notes body.

(like with an additional 3rd dropdown option "in titles only")

since often when you import files,
there are some special symbols
that cannot be displayed properly
in the Windows file ...

i am sorry, but i couldn't wait anymore...

when will finally MyInfo 7 come?

ha! figured out a great work-around!

since besides of regular hyperlinks,
MyInfo can also link directly to a paragraph
and so i can just link my notes from now on
from the uttermost cursor position on the top

and thus all documents
will load thereby
from the top.

one thing i miss,
is the option to disable the "remember cursor position" that it automatically goes to
when you click from a hyperlink to another note in another window/pane.

because i would like it to LOAD THE NOTE FROM THE TOP always focused,
and not where i left it off, since ...
