Global Search will not find words in the content of either imported plain text (.txt) or Treepad Lite (.hjt) files. It also does not find the content of plain text files added to MyInfo by drag-and-drop. But it does find words in the title.
There is a lack of indexing of the content. Reindexing ...

Multiple tabs within one section
If I want to look at two items within a single section of a database, I have to open the second item in a new window which essentially duplicates the file explorer, the menus, the section tabs, etc. as well as opening the second item in that new window. I prefer to have multiple tabs for different ...

[planned] Delete entries in the "Go to Anything" window
I want to get rid of the entries in the Go to Anything window called up by Tools > Go to Anything or Ctrl-G. There must be a way to clear out the prior entries, but I haven't figured out how to do it.

Issues and Resolution
In a prior post [https://forums.myinfoapp.com/viewtopic.php?t=8136], my comments on the reliability of MyInfo stemmed from my own use of the program. MyInfo is truly a great program. It just wasn't working reliably enough for me. I emphasize "for me" because from what I read on this forum, that was ...

Re: [added] Desperately seeking DARK MODE...
Telesto, you are correct. My prior comment in this thread left much to the imagination. For the reason, I am going to write a new post to explain and clarify. Happily, this new post will contain what I hope will be a permanent resolution to the main issue I was having with MyInfo.

Re: [added] Desperately seeking DARK MODE...
blopplop, I just tested dark mode and the issue you describe also occurs for me.
I have a growing list of other issues with MyInfo to the point that I stopped using the program. I will continue to install updates to the program as they are released hoping the issues that occur for me are resolved ...

Re: PDF indexing isssues
To recap, the problem was MyInfo 8 was not indexing PDFs imported into MND files to be able to Search for content in those PDFs. To fix the problem, I went through these steps:
Step 1: Uninstall MI8 app and then reinstall MI8.
Result: MI8 Search would not find content of PDFs in existing MND files ...

Re: PDF indexing isssues
bevanj, thanks for your thoughtful reply.
I haven't yet tried fully uninstalling MI8 and then doing a complete reinstall. Great idea. I will give it a try and hope that it works. And I will let you and others know what happens.
Much appreciated.

PDF indexing isssues
I am using MyInfo 8.5.1 [8179]. I am encountering significant problems that impact my ability to continue to use this program to store PDF attachments.
MyInfo 8 is supposed to index PDF attachments to allow Search to find terms in those indexed files. However, for me the program is absolutely ...

Re: MNB Limitations
J, I'm not sure what you mean by "MyInfo is lagging."
Do you mean that it takes more time for the program to open, that it takes longer to paint a screen when switching notes, etc.? If you can give us some examples, it might help me or other readers who are trying to see if we can reproduce your ...

Re: Incorrect formatting of URL hyperlinks in imported TXT files.
Telesto, thanks for confirming the problem. I've reported this twice before this particular posting: first in 2018 when working with MyInfo 7 and 16 months ago with MyInfo 8. It is not major issue preventing the use of MyInfo but it is a hassle.

Re: Incorrect formatting of URL hyperlinks in imported TXT files.
Petko, yes, I did change the Styles Link font and size.
In Format > Styles > Link, I changed to my desired font and size. The Styles preview pane shows the Link font and size I want. However, when I import a plain text file or drag-and-drop a plain text file that contains URL address link, that ...

[fixed] Incorrect formatting of URL hyperlinks in imported TXT files.
16 months ago I posted this item in the forum: https://forums.myinfoapp.com/viewtopic.php?t=8194 .
I received no reply and unfortunately the problem persists. I import lots of plain text files into MyInfo. Those plain text files contain URL hyperlinks. Once imported, the URL hyperlinks always ...
