+1 for a read-only app.
I don't think anyone uses text processors to seriously edit anything on the phone. Read-only app would probably be a lot less work than a full-blow editor so I would suggest to start with that. It should be optimized for search/viewing workflows.

Bumping this. Would love to have: the capability to create a TOC manually ("Insert a TOC" action on the menu/toolbar) automatic refresh of the TOC in the current note as you edit it, adding/removing headers at different levels have the option to automatically generate a TOC for all notes (...
