I just noticed a glitch in MyInfo 6.20 related to searching. Here is a simple example:
1. create a document containing just "lorem ipsum-dolor sit amet" (notice the hyphen)
2. use the search toolbar to search for "ipsum dolor" (use quotes; no hyphen)
3. note: the search results DO find the document ...

Portable MyInfo -- costs? benefits?
Until now, I have been using standard edition Myinfo rather than the portable edition on my desktop computer. Now I'm thinking of switching to Myinfo Portable even on my desktop computer. This won't be for the usual reason of carrying it around to many Windows computers. Rather, my concern is ease ...

Organizing and maintaining styles
I need the ability to filter documents to show those that use a specific style, and/or to have a find/replace option for styles. This would make it easier to clean up and better organize styles in MyInfo.

cut-paste document between topics, styles get lost
I have a source topic and a destination topic with the same set of paragraph styles in each. I frequently copy one or more source documents to the clipboard, and then paste them into the destination topic. Sometimes paragraphs with matching style don't come over properly to the destination topic ...

[added in 6.13] show path to document
Wherever Myinfo shows the name of a document -- in search results, in filter results, or as the document name on top of the edit pane -- I would like to see or have available (by hovering over the name ?) the tree hierarchy leading to the document.

[fixed in 6.11] elusive attributes pane
I find that the attributes pane is clumsy to get to. Whenever I run a search, the search results replace the attributes pane AND the attributes tab at the bottom of the pane gets hidden -- even when there is plenty of room to display both the 'attributes' and 'search' tabs.

Split or merge tables?
Is it possible to split a table into two parts? For example, all rows above a certain point become table 1; all rows at and below that point become table 2.
Similarly, is it possible to merge two adjacent tables?

Forum search results missing old posts
I searched these forums for an old post of mine. I couldn't find it by looking for words that it contains, but I had no problem when I searched "by author" for myself.
Then I did some experimenting, and it seems that the forum's keyword search is not finding any posts dated earlier than 2010 .

Re: find documents that use a specific style
Is it possible to filter documents to show those that use a specified Style? Or to search for a specified Style within a topic?
Petko,
After some thought, I decided I should explain the background to this question, since a MyInfo difficulty is involved.

Compress a topic file
Sometimes when I am deleting and adding documents to a topic, the file appears to grow much bigger than expected based on document sizes. I would like to have a Compress-Topic capability so that occasionally I can get rid of "air" from my topics. Thanks.

text sized to 1 point after switch to myinfo 5
After upgrading to MyInfo 5, I started finding a lot of text sized to 1 point, in more or less random documents. It's marked as having style *custom. It's easy to miss, and when I see it, it's tricky to select and make bigger. Has anyone else encountered this? Can it be fixed?
