Did this ever get implemented? It would be so useful to be able to sort at multiple levels.

I found this thread as I am experiencing this problem of files not reducing in size. I have a notebook that is 2.3Gb. I deleted what I estimate to be at least a sixth of the information, emptied the trash and compacted the file and now it's 2.9Gb.
