Workflow & Organization in MI

Need some opinions here:

For speed & efficiency, is it better to work with one large DB or several smaller ones?

Also is there a limit on # of pages of info that can be placed in a documents detail page? Thank you.

drage drop from MI browser

There doesn't seem to be an icon or anything I can 'grab onto' to drag/drop a URL from MI browser. I know I can copy paste but shouldn't I be able to drag/drop also? Thank you.

Icons & such

Is it possible to use different icons for documents in outline. For example, it would make sense to me to have a folder icon avaialable to collect doccuments on a single subject but I don't see this possibiilty anywhere. Of course, as a newbie, it's possible I'm not looking in the right place. Thank...

key combo for My Info browser?

Is there a key combination to switch to MI browser or at least a toolbar where user could enter a URL? I couldn't find either but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. If this is not available, will it be available in the future. Sometimes it would be more convenient for user to use internal browser...

Bug - moving topic in outline

Looks to me that user cannot move subtopic around w <CTRL><ALT> +arrow keys. At least not on my system w2ksp4. Also key selection for this commonly used function is very inconvenient. IMO different combination would be better.

Thank you.

Could you exlain "hoist" in your message above? I have no idea what a hoisted window would look like or do. Kevin, Hoist will pull up all the searched data & create a view of only those items, i.e. it isolates just the results of the search criteria, excluding all others. This is part...

ATT: Petko re: hoisting, floating windows & simple remin

Petko, I know we've talked about this before but I'd appreciate it if you could re-consider the following: Since you have meta tags that deal w dates, i.e. date/time, etc. it seems to me that it wouldn't be too hard to have a pop up attached to one of these. This would serve as a reminder/due date f...

metadata window

Petko, I'm wondering if you are considering a meta data window as an alternate to columns in document outline. In this way user could work with more space in the details/text window.

Also will there be browser tabs?

Thank you.

Jan, if you copy and paste documents in MyInfo, the column data is preserved. For copying and pasting outside MyInfo this is not possible yet (you can work around this by exporting as text file). I should have been more specific; this does not appear to happen when copying & pasting between DBs...

I believe your confusion lies in expecting MyInfo to show the spreadhseet within the textpane. [snip] Kevin that's correct, thank you. User can insert object & I was trying to figure out why MI wasn't updating the object after file was edited. Perhaps that's not what objects are about & tha...

Petko, I'm sorry I still don't understand. Maybe I'm not inserting the correct kind of document or focusing my cursor at the correct place but I don't see this. Thanks.
