Please allow for some remarks upon 6.06.
I bought 5.07, and afterwards, every new version wasn't but a time-limited beta, before the paying upgrade to 6, so I always use 5.07, in spite of its looks.
Now, one year after release of 6, a lot of FRESHLY introduced bugs have been exterminated up to 6 ...

Re: Pre 6.0
BTW, on a slate, my ways of having the command triggered by a stylus (or a finger) depending on the POSITION of the stylus / finger (as was my mouseclick, back in 1998) in the line of the list, will be of ENORMOUS usage, since slates / fingers lack those 7 mouse keys I consider the strict minimum ...
Re: Pre 6.0
wsp has had almost one year (and will have more years) of iPad usage now, so nothing (anymore) against his having bought it (= at time = early adopting that is), but there are people here, in West Europa, who buy the iPad (1) now, in February 2011, at almost full price: oh my God!

Re: On 5.6 beta
Since we'll have to live some time yet with the current components, and rightly so if they are embellished a little bit, please do for the (unnecessary) tabs of the Search Result Pane the same as you did for the tabs of the Tree Pane. I never use the attributes pane, and many users do as I do, so ...
Re: Pre 6.0
A minor thing that should be amended for v.6, is the cloning feature. Not yet cloning inter-topics, nor updating sub-items of clones, just like it is for now, but DOING the cloning should be, as said before, much more easy, cf. my posts on this subjects. Thus, make a key-assignable command "Clone ...
Re: Pre 6.0
Petko, I edited the second paragraph of my post above, hence please reload if the first and automatic loading up into your system got my post without this edit yet.
Re: Pre 6.0
Thus, towards a 6.0 "subscription", it appears undeniable that first and foremost, an array always to be loaded with MI is necessary, and which would be checked and updated for every single renaming, deleting and shifting of any item anywhere; it would be a general, rather big array for many ...
Pre 6.0
With these "little things" done (hopefully) in 5.7 beta (or 5.75, to exterminate remaining bugs), marketing considerations will prevail since 6.0 will have to be prepared, and first, 5.7 beta will have to be split up between Standard and Prof. - perhaps you can offer an in-between "Standard 5 to ...

Hi Petko, I just discovered this feature (and commentedon it) in reading Cybercrone's new thread on this; here again: great!
II
Missing yet in 5.6 beta (cf. my post on this regarding 5.5 beta): Any selection of / in the selected search results pane's current search result ITEM (again, I'm not ...

Re: Hey, love the 'export selected docs to new topic'!
Oh, oh, so you just've decided this moment to stay?! ;-)
Let's give Petko the chance to annouce good things for version 6, then (, or not), before taking any decision!
But you're right, I've got Prof., and I hadn't been aware of this feature before your post, and it's great.
Petko, do NOT hide it ...

Re: On 5.6 beta
As said before, better history functions are as urgent as nothing else, and as said, it's nearly impossible, or rightly impossible (= I don't get to it at least) to toggle between two topics, with the current functions: Backward goes backward, but forward does NOT get forward, but just nowhere, and ...

Re: On 5.6 beta
Option / Toggle for "Insert Newly Loaded Topics at End of List" vs. "after Current Topic" not yet done. Since now, with some tab colors being clearly distinguishable, some PM being possible with tabs / tab coloring / tab position, this option would be more important / helpful than ever; it would ...

Re: On 5.6 beta
Leaving the "Confirm Delete" dialogue after deleting items, with standard Escape, not yet possible.
BTW, a little hint to fellow users: Instead of using Delete, use control-x (on a function key preferably), in order to avoid the above-mentioned dialogue altogether. Then, if really you had done the ...

Hi, Old Woman,
As they said at UR's, English doesn't seem to be my native language, and you just proved'em right!
I'm satisfied we're into the subject of inter-topic links, to topics and to items as well, since this functionality will make MI outstanding from its competitors and be its formula to ...

Re: On 5.6 beta
And finally, I'd like to say that with 5.6 now, I've been working all day, between my collected postings here, in a very smooth way (except for the missing history toggles that force me to over-use the mouse, and I have "mouse-arm syndrome"...), and thus, I am very pleased with what we've got here ...
