James,
I will certainly have a look at the files. I'll send you a private message with my email address.

Re: For users of askSam: A Free-form Information Manager
James, the ini file is a file that you create manually in a text editor. It is not something that askSam creates. The details are all explained in the documentation of the askSam FreeForm plugin that you can download from the MyInfo Website. Please let me know whether this is good enough for you. I ...

Re: paragraph cannot be indented or outdented
I can confirm this, but I'm happy that <shift>+<enter> is now working again, it did not in v6.15 where it behaved like a normal <enter>

Re: PDF editor or editing capability
I don't think it would make sense to add a PDF editor as a standard addon for MyInfo. It would just make MyInfo more expensive and only help certains users. The best option here would be to make it a separately payable option in my opinion... Or did you ever look to Redmond these days ? As far a I k...

Re: Document Title from top line
Hi Oz, the document title is something different than the first line. The title you specify in the tree to the left of the editor (or to the right when you open the attribute pane; there the field is called "Documents"). A nice way to get the first line into the title is by selecting it an...

Re: For users of askSam: A Free-form Information Manager
Yep. that's a bug I could reproduce easily. I will fix it and pack it into version 1.4. For the time being please remove the duplicate end-of-document markers or place a space in-between if you want the empty docs imported. To find out about the version of plugins use the "Tools/Add-ons..."...

Re: For users of askSam: A Free-form Information Manager
Hi Oz, great to hear from somebody using the askSam plugin ! Over at the askSam mailing list there is a lot of moaning and groaning going on, but nobody seems poised to make the jump to MyInfo. Only time will tell... Regarding your problem: it is difficult to judge from a distance. In my tests I've ...

For users of askSam: A Free-form Information Manager
On the askSam mailing list there is a discussion under way regarding alternatives to askSam. I've posted the following mail onto that list and invited the participants to join us here in the forum to discuss MyInfo as a serious alternative. Of course everyone else is invited ! --- 8< ---------------...

Re: Recurring tasks
In my opinion you can have that functionality for free today. It's not that comfortable, but it works for me: I just set the reminder for the next occurence. Once I'm done with the reminder I either postpone it from the reminder dialog or I enter the next occurence date. That's basically all I need.

Re: Is it me or a bug?
Petko, I can confirm this problem exists when I use Quick Paste and the it is set to paste as a new document: I often select text in the web browser and the quick paste it into the tree. This is quite handy since the title is already set to the first line. With v6.04 the title remains grey as if no ...

Re: searchable pdf
The PDF is stored in the database yes, but you cannot search its contents.
Only workaround currently is to copy the contents of the PDF into the clipboard and paste it into MyInfo, probably into the notes window to have it together with the PDF file.
