Apologies for the newbie question.
The default tree font appears to be Segoe UI. The default note font appears to be Arial.
How did these choices come to be?
Do others change the default fonts? If so, why?
I'm sort of leaning towards changing the default note font to Segoe. But, I'm not wedded to this.
Background comment: I'm migrating over from (20+ years of) Treepad X Enterprise. The default font therein was typically MS Sans Serif, which is rather old.

Font choice

Segoe UI is used for the tree because it is the standard UI font used by modern versions of Windows and is also widely used throughout Microsoft/Office-style application interfaces. It therefore fits naturally with the rest of the Windows UI.
Arial as the default note font is more of a historical choice, dating back to older versions of Windows and Office where Arial was commonly used as a default document font.
The defaults are not necessarily permanent either. In particular, the default note font is something that may change in a future version as the application and Windows conventions evolve.
