docs and dates with content bolded or backgrnd color?

Post by CyberCrone »

Here's what I would like built in: when a document has content, the background of title in tree would change. I have lots of items listed in trees that as yet have no content. I would like to be able to see at a glance, without opening the document, if there is anything in it. Handy for diary items, too. Diary at present has long list of dates and no way to know if there is anything in them. This color should be very soft, however, and I would like ability to choose default color. For now, I can choose a background color for title when I create a doc but I won't always remember to do that and would like for it to be automatic. DavidRM's The Journal has a nice feature where when a date has content the date is bolded. However, I use bold for other purposes so would prefer background color.

To some extent, MI already does this. Have a look in Help at User Attributes for "Documents". That functionality may suit your needs, although I do not think it extends to background colour.
