program freezing

Whenever I click on Tools>Options this evening, MI (6.02) freezes. Is anyone else having this experience, or is it just some quirk of my system?

Nothing untoward occurs here, on my aged Win XP laptop

I tried it again this morning on my desktop (XP), and MI was still freezing when I clicked on Options. On the other hand, there is no problem on my laptop (Windows 7).

I have XP at work and have not had a problem with Options.

Now the Options menu item is working normally: still the same version of MI (6.02) and the same computer. Clearly we're dealing with supernatural mysteries here!
