Paste Documents Below current Documents

Post by edlipson »

I'm building document trees for similar but not identical outlines. I am working top down organizing the documents. I create 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4. The I go back to 1.1 and create 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3. I select these three and now want to paste them into 1.2, so they become 1.2.1, 1.2.2, 1.2.3. I don't see how to do that paste. I select 1.2 and then paste, I get a new 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 and not the three levels under 1.2. How can I do this? Now I paste, select, shift right one.
I just read help and see the clone features, wonderful! Will use it for identical details in each tree branch. But the parts I am doing now are not identical, they are similar but diverge.
Thanks,
Ed

Ed, currently this is the best way to go: paste, select, move right. I agree that Paste as Children could be a useful future for the next versions..
