[solved] Auto-refresh of web documents - please

Post by quill »

I am testing MyInfo against several other "PIMs". It has some remarkable facilities.

The ability to view external web pages in the viewer within MyInfo is a brilliant feature, but, I nearly gave up on MyInfo after two hours simply because I had not noticed the tiny 'refresh' icon. Without a manual refresh, as I hopped between web documents (web pages) the internal browser just did not want to always render the new page. Frustrating.

A manual refresh on every newly visited page is a work around but is far from ideal.

What can be done to auto-refresh as soon as the prog detects the user is visiting a new web document? Solving this would win a sale.

Many thanks

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce that behavior.

Please keep in mind though, that when you go to a new web document, it may take a few moments before the new web page is loaded (and even more on slow connections). It is possible that this is the case?

Yes, I agree!! The ability to use the internal browser is one of my favorite parts of MyInfo!! It allows me to consolidate all the different wiki's/websites/checklists/files/email access/cloud drive, etc that I need into 1 program (MyInfo). I no longer have to jump between my email program and word processor and task manager and back to email, etc. It's all in MyInfo with the help of the internal browser.

However, would it be possible to choose firefox, chome, or explorer depending on the topic? For example, I use different topics in MyInfo Pro for different tabs along the top, so that I can quickly access different resources I use. Some websites cannot print using explorer ... it requires Chrome or Firefox.

Here is an example of a website that does not allow me to print from explorer. I have to leave MyInfo when I am ready to print my work and login separately using Chrome or Firefox:

Thanks for considering this update!!

MyInfo 7 will use an embedded Chromium web browser, so you should no longer have problems printing web pages.
