Generate document from link tag

Post by Aeternyx »

I'm currently trial-testing MyInfo based on the recommendation from roleplayingtips.com as my DM organization tool. I have to say, there's a lot here I like.

I especially like the [[ syntax for creating tags to other documents. There is one tiny feature that would make my workflow SOO much better though.

Would it be possible to add an option that is "Create New" so that if I type
[[Document That Does Not Exist Yet]] - it gives me the option to just have one created? (Probably at the current depth, but even if it just went into a "new item" bin and I had to move it later, that would be fine.)

This is a feature that OneNote has that is incredibly useful - if you close a bracket and the item doesn't exist, it just makes one.

OneNote obviously doesn't have the flexibility that MyInfo does - but this one feature is a standout for my workflow of constantly building out what is effectively a mini-wiki for my campaign.

Thanks!

That's great news! Does MyInfo 7 have an eta? Or do we know what the upgrade cost would be if I purchased 6 in the meantime?

I must admit that I have been using MI for many years, and I didn't know about this [[ gem. Is it documented anywhere (couldn't find it). Are there other similar possibilities?

MyInfo 7 is currently in customer-only beta testing, but I can't give an exact release date yet. If you purchase MyInfo 6 now, you will get MyInfo 7 free of charge.
