[fixed in mi35]Bug: Hyperlinks Break on Topic Rename

If you rename a topic, all the hyperlinks which point to documents within that document become broken. The links break even when you are linking internally within the same topic, and even when you have the "Insert Relative Links" option enabled.

A few suggestions / comments:

1. If you have "Insert Relative Links" enabled, internal links within the same topic should NEVER break under any circumstances. This should be handled completely transparently by MyInfo.

2. When you rename a topic, MyInfo should give you the option to automatically update hyperlinks in other topics which point to documents within the renamed topic.

3. Ideally, MyInfo should maintain a master database of hyperlinks across all topics. If you delete a document that has hyperlinks pointing to it, MyInfo should warn you that those links will become broken. If you rename a document that has hyperlinks pointing to it, MyInfo should give you the option to automatically update all those links.

We will consider your suggestions. I also agree that internal links should never break. I think we will be able to fix that in the final release.

We have fixed this issue. However, please note that you have to update all existing links in order to not break again.
