I'm not sure if I've raised this before - but if you search on the letters in the middle or end of the word the search won't work - so

search criteria Jon will find the word Jones

BUT

search criteria ones will not find the word Jones.

This is important to me because I put some references in brackets, so search criteria 'Jones' will not find (Jones)

Will I just have to remember not to use brackets in future?

Just use * before the search string. For example if you search for *ones, it will find Jones.
