Often I search a MyInfo topic to find documents and update them. Sometimes I need to click the Edit button to update and sometimes I can revise the document without clicking Edit (not sure why). What I would like is to search for a document, find it, then click in the body and revise the text. The Edit button introduces an extra step, so I don't understand why it's needed.

Noel, the Edit button shows when MyInfo has found the search string in the text of the document. Then it highlights all found strings in the text in yellow. The Edit button clears the highlighted color.

I agree that it is one of the most frustrating / counterintuitive facets of myinfo. Almost every search I do is followed by clicking on the window and wondering why I can't alter text.

I should really be used to it now after over a year of use - but I still get caught out.
