CPU usage in 5.x

I just installed 5.02 and noticed that when I have the MyInfo window opened, CPU for MyInfo.exe runs at about 20%, even though I am not doing anything. When I minimize the window, CPU goes down to about 2%. I turned off the live spell checking, but still running at ~20%. Anybody else seeing this? I am running in a Windows XP VM, but don't think that should matter.

Thanks,

I have 5.02, and I show 0% usage when the window is opened or minimized. I am not using live spell check.

Thanks dbroccardo. I've installed 5.02 in a non virtualized environment and see only about ~2% cpu usage, so looks OK. Not sure what the deal was with the Windows VM (on Macbook pro).

MyInfo 5.02 eating CPU cycles

I have been using version 5.02 for a few days. I am getting the same problem running under Vista -- plain, no VM. In my case, CPU usage in the task manager is about 60%. As with mcconnma, usage drops dramatically when I minimize MyInfo.
In addition, I notice a significant easing when MyInfo is the active window. That is, when I'm working in any other window, MyInfo is taking 60% of my processor. But as soon as I click on the MyInfo window, that usage drops below 10%. I've tried rebooting, but that didn't fix the problem.
Is anyone else noticing this? Any ideas?

Last minute update: as I'm about to hit Submit, MyInfo usage has dropped to about 20%. Till now, it's been in the 60% range for about an hour (my estimate). So what might MyInfo be doing that took an hour of 60% cpu, and appears to still be taking some smaller amount of processing?

I to have experienced high percentage of use.
It dramatically increases when I'm also using an Access Database, it gets so bad sometimes that I close MI and finish what I'm doing with Access and then reopen MI.

Its a pain but I still LOVE MI. :-)

In version 5.04 I still have this problem. Even when it is not the active window, MyInfo is taking 10% of a dual-core CPU (20% single core).

When it is the active window, just moving the mouse around can cause the usage to go up to 30% (60% single core).

Does anybody else have this problem? It is still a daily issue for me.

Hot dog! This is great news. I had just downloaded a Windows debugger to try to track down the issue, and finally resigned to go back to MyInfo 3.x or 4.x to work around this problem.

Thanks Petko!
