Backspace on multi-line bulleted list causes backdent

In the text pane, if you choose a bulleted list, and the bulleted list wraps around because the line is very long:
* This is a very long
line.
Then if you place your cursor before the word "line" and press backspace, it causes the entire bullet to backdent (or outdent, whatever you call it).
