is there a way of automatically setting the font of branches in the tree?

I know it can be done manually.

I would like top level branches to be darker and bold.

This is something that we are planning for MyInfo 7. There will be possible to have conditional formatting in the tree (for example set a specified font and color for all root documents as you want).
