Sorry, but I have never figured out tree perspectives. May it is the way I use MyInfo, but I'd like to learn.

1. What are they for?

2. I can create a new tree perspective but can do nothing beyond that. Cannot customize and the view is the same. What is the benefit of this?

I am using 7.1.

You can have different sets of visible columns for each tree perspective. Aside from that, currently there is not much else you can do.
