Possible to transfer the 'conditional formatting' between notebooks?

Post by cadudesun »

Hi.
I'd appreciate your assistance.

Is it possible to transfer the 'conditional formatting' between notebooks?
For instance, I set the 'conditional formatting' for notebook A. Then I'd like to transfer it to notebook B, so that I don't need to redo from scratch notebook B 'conditional formatting'.

Thank you,
Carlos

A notebook template might do the trick:
1) Make a copy of the database file with the conditional formatting set.
2. Open the copy in MyInfo
3) Removing the data
4. Tools -> Compact Notebook
5) Move the file in the template directory of MyInfo
6) Create a new notebook -> Pick the template with conditional formatting

Thanks for the information, Telesto.
Indeed, the template will do the trick for new/blank notebooks.
Adding context of my use case, I'd like to apply the 'conditional formatting' in notebook B, which is already populated with several sections and notes.
I could create a new notebook from the template, then copy/move each section from notebook B to there.

However, it seems there is a problem: after copying/moving the notes from notebook B to the new notebook, the tree becomes automatically collapsed, and all my 'structure' is lost, right?

If so, to "Keep the notes tree structure when moving them to different sessions or other notebooks", as suggested in the following thread would complete the trick:
