Unable to resize images in text editor

With version 8 - 7873 I seem to have lost the ability to resize images with the mouse. The corners of the image do not allow me to select them, nor does the right-click context menu allow me to reset the image size (it is greyed out).

No issue in my basic testing with a jpg image. Does it happen in a specific note, or in each and every note

Happens on each and every note I have images , and now I find that I cannot resize tables.
Can I delete MI8 and reinstall the latest version without loosing any settings, styles, etc?
