My use-case requires that when I drag content from a note to the tree that focus remains on the main note. The current behavior switches focus to the newly created note. This forces me to go back to the original note to find the location of the snippet I had dragged out to the tree. This is taxing cognitively.

Is there a configuration option that forces focus on stay on the main note when dragging content out to the tree. If not, would you please consider adding this feature?

Not as far I'm aware

I currently create a additional window (menu Window -> New Window), with same database/section. I drag the text from Window A to the tree in Window B.

This is not possible currently, as Telesto said, but I will consider it for some future update.
