In a prior post [viewtopic.php?t=8136], my comments on the reliability of MyInfo stemmed from my own use of the program. MyInfo is truly a great program. It just wasn't working reliably enough for me. I emphasize "for me" because from what I read on this forum, that was not at all the norm for other users.
My main need for MyInfo is for it to be a repository for stored and indexed PDFs. I wrote about my issues with PDF indexing in a recent thread, see [viewtopic.php?t=8649].
Over the last two days, I now may have found a permanent solution for the PDF indexing issue. I had been storing my MNB files in a folder on OneDrive. I could access OneDrive from a taskbar icon on my desktop. I am not as computer-savvy as others. I began to wonder if synchronizing between computer and cloud was causing issues.
I deleted all my PDF-containing MNB files from OneDrive. I created new MNB files and imported my PDFs but this time stored the new MNB files locally on my computer without synchronizing to OneDrive. I have been testing those files for the past two days and have not had any more problems.
An issue I still have is deleting notes that contain child notes. If I try to Empty Trash, MyInfo crashes unless I delete the child notes first. This is not a major problem.
The dark mode drop down arrows and the incorrect formatting of URL links from imported TXT files continue but these are trivial for me.
I want to make clear that I do enjoy and depend on using MyInfo. Even more so now.
Issues and Resolution

I agree it's rather critical. Partial indexed PDF's is a nasty bug, because you start mistrusting the application after you start noticing searching being unreliable.
Your solution also fits my circumstances, Nocar. All my MNB files are stored locally on a NAS.
Kind regards.
