"List" does not work "AutoTest"

Post by luciano_f »

In Perspectives I have "Main" and "List" if I click on "List" the "AutoPaste" cannot capture why ?

Is this a Bug ?

As far I'm ware not, but I can be mistaken.

A perspective - like the list perspective - is an alternative view of the 'main' tree. Is more or less intended as view only. Especially if the main view has tree structure. The list view will list all notes flat (without hierarchy). A note (Note A) shown in list perspective could actually act as parent note for Note B and C. Deleting Note A would entail deleting B and C.

However not pasting while AutoPaste is turned on, because a different Perspective being is seems wrong to me. I would expect that it would still paste. Autopaste becomes rather unreliable if it's depend on the activated perspective.

Options
A) Throw a warning that AutoPaste can't paste
B) Automatically switch to perspective to main (for paste) and back to list perspective after paste

It is a limitation that AutoPaste does not work properly with list perspectives and I will fix that.

After some testing, I need to admit that this is actually no limitation of AutoPaste. Rather, it is not possible to add notes to List perspective if the main perspective is Tree. I suspect this is the case?

I assume this is the case. However, disregarding auto-paste because the wrong perspective being selected, is still a bit troublesome. You assume clips being auto-pasted, but not being the case

I agree that it might be problematic. I will think about some sort of feedback.
