drag/drop from desktop very slow for me

Post by JanRif »

Situation:

On Desktop, a txt file size 277kb
drag/drop onto document column

contents appear almost immediately in content page (working page), don't know right terminology yet

however, MyInfo seems to freeze +/- minute until it sorts out the data & file name appears in document column. During this time, system is not usable.

Sometimes program freezes, see error msg below which I was unable to send to your server from program

What takes so much is the indexing process. Every time you enter new information in MyInfo, it indexes it, so it can later find it almost instantly. The freeze error will no longer appear in the next versions and we will add progress bar to indicate how much of the contents is indexed, so you will know how much time it will take.

Of course, we will look for a faster indexing algorithm also.
