Embedded .cgi Files

Post by joshi »

Usually, when I click on a .cgi file in a Windows folder, it opens Adobe Acrobat. However, when I attempt to view a .cgi file that I have embedded into MyInfo, nothing happens. (PDF files open properly in Adobe). Any suggestions?

Is Adobe Acrobat the default application for opening .cgi files in Windows Explorer? In other words does it open automatically in Adobe Acrobat when you double click the .cgi file, or you have to select it from a list?

CGI files open automatically in Adobe Acrobat when I double click on it in Windows. I don't get the pop-up screen.

I will look into this issue. Meanwhile, are you unable to open the embedded file with both View and Edit buttons?

That's correct. Neither View nor Edit buttons work. When I hit Edit, MyInfo says that the file is opening, but nothing happens. When I hit View, nothing happens. I don't get an error message or anything.

Thanks.

FYI: I've devised a temporary fix by changing the .cgi extensions in the file names to .pdf before embedding the file into MyInfo.
