I have created a document via a webpage link and have noticed the following problem.
If the webpage shows a text box where you can enter information you are UNABLE to use the [ENTER] key ... the work around for this is to hold the Alt key and press 013 on the number keypad (at least that worked for me.
Ralph, just trying to clarify a few things, your post isn't clear to me... re: "I have created a document via a webpage link" what exactly do you mean by "via" a webpage link?
Re: "If the webpage shows a text box where you can enter information you are UNABLE to use the [ENTER] key..." - are you expressing that once you have webpage content in My Info as a note / document, that from there you are dealing with a text-entry aspect of what had been on a website, and in that regard the "enter key" isn't functional? (Data entry on a site would envoke software aspects not captured in the simple html text etc content, would not be expected to be functional in a remote capture document...)
Frank H. (and as a newcomer to My Info also, I AGREE with you, NICE job on the program!)

While showing a webpage in MI, one that has an input text box, I would expect certain keys to function as they would in any browser. I am able to type within the text box, I can move from line to line via arrow keys, the backspace and delete key all work just NOT the 'enter' key. As I mentioned earlier, I do have a work around -- I can Press the Alt-013 combination which will insert the needed cariage return ... I'm just surprised that the enter function was being traped is all -- seems to be a bug to me but if not I can deal with my work around.
Ralph, once a web page is captured in My Info, and you are not literally browsing an active web page you are simply representing a web page, how would one expect any of the "functionality" of the web page to exist, inputing text in a text box etc? Not splitting hairs, I just don't understand this being a My Info issue at all. It's a "dead" page once captured off-line. Doesn't surprise me that the enter key is "dead" with text entry within that captured code etc... maybe it's as simple as that.
I'm thrilled this program even captures content like it does. So many things it does well...
I think you might be talking about a differnent functionality of MI than I am.
I can add a web document (ctrl-shift-w) which pops up a dialog box to allow me to enter a web address, which creates a link in the new document.
When I press the link the browsing starts --- its not dead. I can refresh the page, go to other websites, press on other links the whole ball of wax. BUT if you stumble on a web page that allows you to INPUT something you ARE allowed too but don't plan on using the enter key.
For example: Put this page into into MI and press the "post reply" button and then try to enter text and use the 'enter' key.
