capture web addresses (bookmarks) from browser

Post by Richard »

As a further enhancement to the web capture, it would be useful to be able to capture a web address directly from the browser.

1- Right click on a web page
2- select 'Bookmark page in Myinfo'
3- Page is now bookmarked as a web address
4- ideally routed to a user specified topic

Perhaps another feature for the browser plugin?

As an extension of this, when working locally it would be useful to bookmark local files in the same way using the right click menu.

I would also like to be able to capture URLs more efficiently. The technique used in EverNote 2.0 strikes me as excellent: I drag the Web page icon (at the left of the URL) into a note, and the program creates a link, of which the text is the title of the Web page. (When you try to do this in MI, it copies the URL -- unlinked -- but not the page title.)

But it would be a good idea to retain the present linking menu in MI so that one could still edit the URL if necessary.
