how to set tab size?

Post by mcconnma »

love the product, simple question, but couldn't find answer in help documentation and the forums ... how can I change the default tab size? It looks like it is defaulting to 8 spaces?

I'm assuming you are talking about the Topic Tab.
I was able to start a new topic with all 26 letters of the alphabet.
So, looks like the Tab is auto sized by the title given it.

sorry if I wasn't clear, I am just talking about pressing the 'tab' key in a new document / topic ... it indents like 8 or so characters, I would like it to indent a configurable amount, like 2 characters. Hope that makes sense. I am on MyInfo 4.25.

Now I understand and I see what you mean.
I never really thought about changing that value, but you seem to be right, I can't find any configuration option to adjust that value -- I even looked in the registry. :-)

Wish I could be more help.

Thanks Ralph for taking a look, I think with RTF, it's more appropriate to talk about tab stops, (setting them at 1/2 inch, 1 inch, for example) ... In many of the editors I use, I simply set 'tab size' to 4 spaces, for example, wish I could do the same with MyInfo. There is a suggestion found here for rulers, indents, etc:

Maybe that will get some traction ... or I'll get a response from Milenix on this.

I will see if and how can we improve the tab/tab stop size support.
