Tagging multiple documents at the same time.

Post by rhansen »

MyInfo 4.3 - is there a way to tag multiple documents with same tag(s) in one action? I like to use tags for quick look ups and many of my documents may be about one or two subjects. Currently I tag each related document individually with the same tag but with dozens of documents this is time consuming and error prone especially when I want to add an additional tag.

Also is there a way to search or filter using multiple topics.

Thanks
Bob

This is possible, if you select multiple documents in the tree and then edit their Tags attribute in the Task Pane. This is limited only to sibling documents.

We have plans for adding multiselection support in the filter pane, so there you will be able to assign tags to multiple documents without the sibling limitation.

Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately tagging multiple documents and also tagging across topics is really important to the way I work.

Possibly this is an unfair question, however, do you have an ETA for this functionality being available?
