Problem with the Tree and the Editor

I am having a problem with the Tree Menu and Editor. I maximized the editor. Now I cannot get the the Treemenu and Editor to show together in two panes. I have tried the buttons at the bottom right sided but they don't work. I get either an editor which goes completely across the page or the tree menu fills the page. I can't get them to show like they did in the beginning with two panes. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Is this problem with a particular topic or it happens with all topics?

The problem that I am having is this. When I first installed the program, I had a window with the tree and a window with the editor side by side.
I maximized the editor and it closed the window with the tree. I then went down to the right hand corner and tried to get the window with the tree to open up and the window will open up but the editor disappears. I can't get the two windows to show side by side like they were in the beginning. I tried all of the links down at the bottom of the page on the right hand side. This happens with all topics.
