Dictionary has gone

Post by hotel »

I do not have any dictionaries listed when I go to Tools, Options, Spelling.

I checked in C:\Program Files\Milenix\MyInfo 5\Configuration\Dictionaries
and there are two files there: en_US.aff and en_US.dic

As a test, I downloaded another dictionary, so now there are 4 files here.

But the dictionary list for Spelling under Options is completely empty.

All words in any topic have a red line under them to show they are not spelled correctly.

It used to work OK, but now the dictionary and spell check capability have been removed.

How can I get it to work again?

Thanks.

Is there a solution?

What is weird is that on some days the dictionary is available, and on other days it is not!

Today I do not have a dictionary. All words have the red wavy underline. Spelling under Tools, Options has no dictionaries listed.

On the days when the spelling is available, I do have dictionaries listed.

PLEASE HELP! What can I do to get the spell checker working?

This is really strange problem. I will try to reproduce it, but so far have no success in doing so.

If you have MyInfo Pro, could you try using the portable version for a while and let me know, if the problem happens there?

Hi,
the dictionnaries are back now that I installed MyInfo 5.04. (I hope it will last...)
Thank you!

Wow, I just had exactly the same problem!

I can't explain why it started happening, but I can't fix it (haven't tried re-installing yet).

I'm using Win7 x64.

I'm running Win7 Professional, 32-Bit. I DID reinstall 5.04 without success. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help debug.

Could anyone having this problem, check if the custom dictionary is working? (it is located in C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Application Data\Milenix\MyInfo\4\Spelling Preferences\customdict.txt

If it is working, then words that are in this file should not be listed as incorrect in the text editor.
