send to myinfo in Firefox 3.6 & Google Chrome

Post by bp »

I just updated to Firefox 3.6 and installed Google Chrome-- any ideas when a "Send to MyInfo" plugin will be available for these browsers? Thank you!

We have just updated our Firefox extension.

As for Google Chrome - we have such plans, but I can't tell any details yet.

Can not install the plug in for Firefox. Firefox shows an error message and says that MyInfo 1.6.2 is not compatible to Firefox 3.6.

Best regards,

Michael, do you try to install it from here:
http://www.milenix.com/myinfo-plugins.php

It is version 1.6.6 on our server.

Petko,

as first time already I tried to install from there. Sorry, but same result as before.

I use Firefox and, while I can install "Send to MyInfo," it does wacky things to my FF menu and icon bar.

As said before, I'm running Firefox 3.6 and the new plugin works perfectly for me.

However, when I tried to add the usual button to my navigation bar-- you know the little MyInfo icon so that sending something to MyInfo is really just a press of a button, the button is a mess-- all kinds of icons associated with the Send to MyInfo button. It's too unwieldy to put in the bar. A fix for this would also be greatly appreciated it.

Thanks again.

Still lovin MyInfo.

Yes - I just installed the updated "Send To MyInfo" Firefox plugin, and it totally messed up the Firefox toolbar: suddenly there are about 40 icons in five rows, many of which are duplicates.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, with the same result.

For now I have uninstalled the "Send to MyInfo" plugin, and will wait for a fix.

It seems that Firefox 3.6 introduced some breaking changes that were not covered in their documentation and it caused the button image to get messed up.

You can now download the updated release.

Michael, try removing MyInfo add-on first and then installing it again.

I would like to save a local copy of a web page, instead of linking to its address and I know that I can turn on the 'Save Local Copy of the Web Page' option via the INSERT | Web Document command, but I find it much easier to the use the Firefox 'Send to MyInfo' plug-in. Is it possible to save these pages to the local drive? At present, the plug-in only seems to link pages.

Many thanks - Geoffrey

After sending the page with Firefox, in MyInfo you should click the button "store local copy of this web page".
