I had thought there had been a thread of mine about searching; I cannot find it anymore, I'll have to look, hoping it's not lost; I don't like to write for an electronic waste basket. Here is just an add-on for this thread on searching:
The comment elements can be searched by "comment:searchexpression", and even the command "comment:searchexpression*" works fine. But it does NOT seem to be possible to search for "comment not null", the command "comment:*" bringing false finds of "comment" in the text, but not a list of items with comment fields that are not empty.
This is a real problem since as soon as you do a comment in some item levelled beneath the currently displayed items, you don't even see the "Comment Preview" indicator. Perhaps, you could do filtering, but since filtering just applies to the current topic, and I have more than 200 topics...
Thus, a GLOBAL search for "comment field with some content" would be really helpful!
And then, please have a look at the "comment" field in UR: There, you can DISPLAY A PANE for this, and this only makes the comment field really useful. It would be a VERY good thing to have such a pane for comments in MI, and with every such pane and other goody, it's not the question "will wasp like it or not?" but the point is, make it an option, so that people who like the field, can have it visible all the time - and by that, finally have a chance to use it extensively -, and wasp would never be bothered by it.
Searching
Fred, no posts are lost, they are just many new topics lately and it may be difficult to find.
