[fixed in 6.02] MI 6.01 Hoist bug

Post by joshi »

When I use Hoist (which is fantastic), I lose (in Hoist view) the open/close (plus/minus) button on left of the document name. I can still open and close my tree using arrow keys without problem.

This is so by design, because in hoist mode you always have only one root document, so there is no actual need for expanding/collapsing. We hide it to save screen real-estate. But this works so only when a first-level document is the root, so maybe it is confusing to have the button after some hoist commands and not have it after other..

I get it. The problem is when I hoist a root document before I have expanded it. In order to expand in hoist view, I then have to use the arrow keys rather than the usual plus/minus button (which is more familiar).

It will either expand, before hoisting or show the expand button in the next update. Either way, it will be clear that there are subdocuments.
