question about search

Post by palas »

About a inconsistent behaviour of search, when i try to find "word"
search engine match "word" but no "words" ,but searching other
patterns like "cli" finds de word "cliente"
Any suggestions who to match "words" with the pattern "word"??

I'm not sure I understand your question completely, but . . .

The wildcard "*" is very useful in searches. "Word*", for example, will find word, words, wordy, etc.

For example , search "word" or "*word" doesn´t match "doubleword".

Petko will have to offer definitive advice on this, but it's my impression that the asterisk wildcard will work only at the end of a word, not the beginning or middle.

Yes, that is the case exactly.
