MyInfo on the Web?

Petko, I recall that a year or two ago on this forum you said you did not intend to create any non-Windows version of MyInfo -- the context of this remark was a discussion of whether we could ever expect a mobile version -- but, if my memory is not playing tricks on me, I believe you hinted that perhaps it might be possible to create a website variety of MI to use when we were away from our desktop computers. Have you had any further thoughts about this?

Evernote, of course, is the obvious model of a note-taking program that is available on both the Web and one's own devices, but it is probably a misleading example because EN is a fully synched service. Another model might be something like the new Kindle Cloud Reader (for the iPad), which is an HTML5 Web app. Among other things, it allows the user to download books for reading offline. I'm out of my depth here technologically, but might it be possible to create something like that for MyInfo? I'm very fond of MI and use it daily, but I am endlessly frustrated that it cannot be used on any mobile device.

I am still researching this area. As there are an increasing number of mobile devices (iPhone, Android and Windows phones), tablets and so on, I think that creating an application for each major platform will not be possible. But I am working some other projects (among them a new MyInfo web site), which use recent web technologies, I think that some sort of web version is still the best way. Another option that I am considering is an improved web site export functions, so that web sites exported from MyInfo will work flawlessly with mobile devices.
