Filtering sounds like a good idea. The Delete Bookmark option doesn't work on imported bookmarks that don't have a six-character name, but if you filter it, I can just Select All on the topic, cut it, and paste it back in without any bookmarks. Works for me. Might be a good idea to pop up a warning ...

I don't have Thunderbird available right now, but isn't there a "paste special" (or something like that) in the edit menu that gives you the option to "paste formatted text"? At any rate, sounds like something you might want to bring up with the Thunderbird developers as well.

It might not be possible (or desirable) to delete the built-in styles, but it would probably work just as well if we had a way to hide unused styles. I'm thinking of a "Hide this style" checkbox in the Style dialog that would just keep the style from showing up in the context menu. It woul...

And while we're at it, is there an easy way to delete existing bookmarks? Quite a few topics that I've copied and pasted from other sources seem to contain "bookmarks" that aren't actually linked to anything. For example, every HTML <A name=whatever> tag becomes a bookmark when you paste i...

No change so far. Also, I never show up in a list of supporters (even when it's my own suggestion). Is this another bug? I log in through Yahoo, so that might have something to do with it.

See "Use optional checkboxes to define a filter" (assigned 1 vote, shows 0) and "Option to display non-printing characters" (currently assigned 1 vote by me and 1 from another supporter, shows -1).

Voting for your own idea?

My votes don't seem to be counted any more when I vote for my own ideas. I don't have any particular objection to this, except that when I reduce the number of votes I've assigned to the idea, UserVoice still subtracts them from the total. For example, suppose my idea has 5 votes: 3 from me and 2 fr...

Try saving in RTF. This is a native format for MS Word, and I've found that it's much more reliable than the DOC format when you need to work with the same document in several different editors. Strangely, even MS Word itself seems to have less problems with RTF.

Fully gledged spell checker!

The first line of your What's New page includes the phrase "fully gledged spell checker"... proof once again that spell checkers are useless if you don't use them.
